Easy Mac and Cheese

Ingredients

  • 2 TB Butter
  • 2 TB Flour
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 clove garlic, diced
  • 2 C Cheddar Cheese, grated
  • 1 C heavy cream
  • 1/2 ts nutmeg
  • 1/2 ts salt
  • 1/4 ts pepper
  • pasta (medium shells or elbows)

Method

1) grate cheese

2) prepare pasta according to box directions (8 minutes for medium shells by Barilla)

3) while pasta is cooking, saute onions and garlic

4) add flour to onions, stir until well combined about 2 minutes

5) add cream, nutmeg, salt and pepper to onions, bring to a boil

6) add cheese, combine

7) drain pasta, add to cheese mixture

8) enjoy!
