You will need:

  • Funnel Cake Batter
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup cold water
  • Vegetable oil
  • Bowl of cleaned and cut strawberries
  • 2-3 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup honey

Preparation:

Heat balsamic vinegar, honey and 2 tbsp powdered sugar in a saucepan until it boils. Reduce heat and simmer until the mixture is nice and syrupy. It takes about 5-10 minutes.

While the glaze is simmering, heat 3/4 inch of vegetable oil over medium high heat. Mix the powdered batter, water, and egg.

Have a funnel ready. Or in my case a Ziploc bag with a small cut in the bottom corner.

When the oil is hot pour the batter through the funnel in a circular, zigzag motion. After about a minute it should be turned. After another minute when it looks light brown and crispy take it out and place on paper towel.

Money Shot

Top with powdered sugar, strawberries, and the balsamic syrup. Make sure you eat it while it’s still warm!

I hope you enjoy!
