This recipe is amazing, I use the following british measurements for the dough;

  • 0.42 pints milk
  • 550g plain flour
  • 125g sugar
  • 2 1/4 tsp yeast (1 packet)
  • 2 eggs
  • 75g butter

I also like to use half/half plain flour with hovis granary flour, which has seeds in it. I love the texture of the added oats, though it does get stodgy. The non-dough measurements are easy enough to do by eye and not such a big deal if you get them a bit off the mark, but as a reference 3/4 cup brown sugar is about 160g. Also, 'confectioners sugar' is icing sugar. --Noonsaliwah 16:19, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
