Recipe by: Devil Wears Wings Uploaded by Drimble Wedge

Makes enough for 4 mugs

  • 1 750mL bottle dry or semi-dry red or white wine, or hard cider
  • 8 green cardamom pods, split
  • 1 whole cinnamon stick
  • 12 whole cloves
  • 10 black peppercorns
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh shaved orange rind

Sugar or honey, to taste

Add all ingredients to a pan and simmer on low heat until it's steaming quite a bit, but before it comes to a boil, stirring occasionally. Strain and pour into mugs.

Maybe not all that authentic to any sort of tradition but damn is it good on a snowy evening.
