Excellent, good value Korean food being enjoyed by mostly Koreans.  They do sushi and some Japanese food as well but I'd stick with the Korean stuff.  Quite authentic, very fresh.  The dolsot bimibap is the best I've had in London.  Highly recommend this place.

Fantastic spot.  A bit of a trek from Central London but well worth it.  Myself and my buddy were the only non-Koreans in the place.  Very authentic and fresh food.  Only slight disappointment was that the bulgogi tasted a bit weird but frankly there's so much better stuff to eat than the typical bbq that you should be adventurous and try other stuff anyway.  The chigae (I believe it's soondooboo but can't remember for sure) is incredible and super super spicy.  Awesome, but it burrrnnnnssss!

I detest this place.  Absolutely hate it with a passion I can barely express in words.  Extremely overpriced -- they charge you for every banchan which is simply unheard of, even in pricey London.  A total rip-off.  Avoid it at all costs.  There are so many better options for Korean food in Soho, just head up there.

Belgian

Abbaye: 102 Old Brompton Road, South Kensington SW7 3RD

A Belgian pub / restaurant with quite the array of excellent Belgian beers. The food is not bad either, especially if you like Moules Frites. The bitterballen are on the meh side but that's easily made up for by the excellent coarse pate. It's a bit on the pricey side for what you get but it's quite a nice place though it can sometimes get eye-wateringly smoky.

Korean

Dong San: 47 Poland Street, Soho W1F 7NB

Excellent, good value Korean food being enjoyed by mostly Koreans. They do sushi and some Japanese food as well but I'd stick with the Korean stuff. Quite authentic, very fresh. The dolsot bimibap is the best I've had in London. Highly recommend this place.

Jee Cee Neh: 74 Burlington Road, New Malden KT3 4NU

Fantastic spot. A bit of a trek from Central London but well worth it. Myself and my buddy were the only non-Koreans in the place. Very authentic and fresh food. Only slight disappointment was that the bulgogi tasted a bit weird but frankly there's so much better stuff to eat than the typical bbq that you should be adventurous and try other stuff anyway. The chigae (I believe it's soondooboo but can't remember for sure) is incredible and super super spicy. Awesome, but it burrrnnnnssss!

Kaya: 42 Abermarle Street, Mayfair W1S 4JH

I detest this place. Absolutely hate it with a passion I can barely express in words. Extremely overpriced -- they charge you for every banchan which is simply unheard of, even in pricey London. A total rip-off for food that is really really sub par. Avoid it at all costs. There are so many better options for Korean food in Soho, just head up there.

Pizza

Spago: 6 Glendower Place, South Kensington SW7 3DP

No, not that stupid other Spago in the States, this one is about a 2 minute walk from South Ken tube, It's one of the best bargains in the area and has surprisingly good pizza and generic-y Italian food. The service is a bit wonky sometimes but it's worth the occasional annoyance. They also have live music most weekends which is pretty cool, too.

Spanish

El Blason: 8-9 Blacklands Terrace, Chelsea SW3 2SP

My favourite restaurant in London. Probably the best Spanish food in the UK. It's near the Spanish embassy and is generally loaded with loaded Spaniards which lends a great vibe to the place. On your second visit, you will be considered a regular. Be nice to Carlos and Charlie and you'll likely be rewarded with free alcohol for your troubles. It's not a cheap place (tapas range from £4-8 and paella are about £25 for two) but well worth checking out if you enjoy Spanish food and relaxed but top notch service.
