Toronto, Ontario
Toronto Toronto! Not the capital of Canada, but the capital of Ontario and the largest city in the country. Full of different cultures and polite people who will give directions if they speak English. |

Sandwichee
- 286 Danforth Avenue (near Bowden Street, Chester Subway)
- Incredibly delicious, giant sandwiches for unreasonably little money. Homemade spiced mayos and grilled vegetables are a specialty.

Carribean[edit]
Chinese[edit]
Dim Sum[edit]
Bright Pearl
- Kensington Market/Chinatown
- Spadina @ St. Andrew? just north of Dundas
- Great Dim Sum, excellent barbecue pork buns, service leaves a little to be desired but that may have just been the time at which I was there.
Desserts/Bakeries[edit]
The Cupcake Shoppe
- 2147 Yonge Street, north of Eglinton.
Awesome cupcakes, quaint little place. Must visit if in the north end. Cupcakes change daily, so it's always something new.
European[edit]
Greek[edit]
Greek Town is located along Danforth Avenue ("the Danforth") in Toronto's east end. Easily accessible by subway, the area is between Chester and Donlands stops, centered on Pape.
Be sure to check out the "Taste of the Danforth", a festival of food, music and corporate sponsorship that takes place in August.
Indian[edit]
Italian[edit]
Little Italy is located south of Bloor around Harbord between Ossington and Bathurst.
Pizza[edit]
Magic Oven
- Organic pizza, available for delivery or pickup, several locations throughout the GTA. Good pizza, higher price. Check the website for the location nearest you (Broadview no longer operational) [1]
Mexican and Central/South American[edit]
Big Fat Burrito
- 529 Bloor Street (The Annex), 285 Augusta Street (Kensington Market), 112 Dundas Street (Bay & Dundas)
- Badass burritos, clean and quick. Glass bottled soft drinks are a must have. Try the pulled pork burrito. Spiciness is scaled from 1-5, 5 being the highest.
Chino Locos Tasty Good Burritos
- 4 Greenwood Ave (Leslieville), 459 Church St (The Village)
- Amazing, different burritos. Instead of rice you can get chow mein which I highly recommend. The original location is better than the Village location sometimes.
Middle Eastern[edit]
Thai/Laotian[edit]
Vietnamese[edit]
Vegetarian[edit]
Eateries that pride themselves on being totally or at least mostly vegetarian focused go here. While many Indian places could fit as well they should stay in Indian.
