When I first saw Smorz cereal in my grocer's cereal aisle, I couldn't believe my eyes. It had so much potential, but alas, it wasn't nearly as good as the s'mores cereal I remember eating as a child... with milk in a bowl, anyway. Having purchased several boxes of the cereal without so much as tasting the stuff, I knew I'd never consume it all the old-fashioned way. The inevitable result? Smorz cereal treatz!!!
The Ingredients
- (1) 10.5oz box Smorz cereal
- (1) 12oz bag chocolate chips of your choosing (I've used semi-sweet, dark chocolate, even peanut butter ones; dark chocolate are my favorite)
- (1) 16oz bag marshmallows
- Approx 3 tbsp. butter/margarine/"spread" (I've always used Country Crock because it's the cheapest stuff I can get)
You also need a pot, a pan to put the stuff in after it's all mixed (I use a 13x9 cake pan), and some non-stick cooking spray to put in the pan so your treatz don't stick. Also, a utensil of some sort to stir while you're cooking.
