This is NosmoKing's hot sauce recipe. All credit goes to him.
Here we go!
Ingredients
Gather the following stuff:
- A ripe mango.
- A carrot
- 3/4 a pound of habanero peppers
- 2 slices of onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 3-4 limes
- 1/4C white vinegar
- 1 TBSP kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp tumeric
- 1/4 tsp ground cumin
Method
Crush the garlic, dice the two slices of onion (big middle of the onion slices), and shred the carrot through a box grater. Sweat in a pan and prep the other ingredients, stirring periodically.
Cap and halve the peppers and add to the pan. Dice the mango and add it to the pan. Add the salt, tumeric, and cumin. Squeeze the limes into a measuring cup until you have 3/4 a cup of lime. Add the lime and vinegar (that's one cup total liquid for you non-math majors) to the pan and bring to a simmer.
Add to a food processor and pulse the shit out of the whole mess until it's a uniform goo.
Dump out the terrible hot sauce your wife bought you for a dollar from a garage sale. She means well, but it's fucking awful stuff.
Fill the now cleaned bottles with the REAL hot sauce.
Heat indeed.
It's a wonderfully fruity and fresh and island-y. It's also brutally hot. Use it in good health.
